Cleaning of the baking trays takes place
- In order to re-use them without coating
- As a preparation to the application of new coating
Baking trays can be cleaned both chemically and thermically. We can perform these processes with HACCP accreditation.
The cleaning method is determined by the construction, maerial and the state of the baking rays. Below you find an indication of possible pollutions and their best cleaning method.
Chemical cleaning
- Alkalic cleaning, possibly with ultrasound-support
- Appropriate for removal of (burned) oil or fat layers
- Aluminium baking trays
Thermical cleaning
- Heat treatment in an oxygen-poor environment
- Approtriate for removal of oils, fats, coating and silicones
- Aluminium trays

TCI Cleaning can offer you the most common possibilities
- Baking trays without coating:
These are cleaned steam-cleaned with high pressure.
- Baking trays with (burned) layers of oil or grease:
These are steam-cleaned with high pressure after regular cleaning.
In general these baking trays without coating can be re-used.
- Baking trays with coatings or silicones
These need a new coating after cleaning
- Black layer and pre-baking
It is common to apply a black layer on baking trays before use (outside) and to
pre-bake them (user side).
The most common coatings are
- FEP coatings
- PTFE coaings
- Silicones
Of course there are many more possibilities for industrial bakeries.
For instance:
- Dough barrels
- Additional tools
- Bearing
- (air) filters
- Conveyor-belts
- Etc.
